July 2002 NewsletterFinally getting hot
now, isn’t it! Makes it tough to
keep those barrels cool when you’re at the range.
Oh well, it’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. The Top
Gun Shootout was held at the Flying B Ranch on June 8. It took a score of 170 out of 200 to be in the money, and a
score of 190 was the high (that shooter only missed two shots in four events),
which was a darn fine job in the continuous rain we had that day. The CMP shoot held June 15 went quite well.
Eighteen shooters were on hand, and top score was 242 out of 300
possible. These shoots are proving
to be popular, so we’ll be trying to hold two or three of them a year in the
future. Anyone who has a MEC 600 reloader and is willing to
sell it, please contact Dennis Schult
(758-6108, dts@clarkston.com); 16 gauge
is preferred, but will consider any gauge. The July membership meeting will be held Wednesday, July 3, 7:30 p.m., in the basement of Meriwether Lewis Hall, LCSC campus. If you are still receiving this letter via US mail, but would like to receive it via e-mail, please send your name and e-mail address to dts@clarkston.com; this could save the club considerable costs in copying and postage.
