November 2003 Newsletter

There are still some M1 Garand stocks available for sale at the range. For additional
information, contact Ken Jacks (kjacks@clarkston.com, 798-3159).

There will be a youth shoot held at the range on Saturday, November 15, beginning at 10:00
a.m. There will be two age groups: 8-13, and 14-17. Targets will include paper bullseye and
silhouettes. Instruction, guns, ammo, hot dogs, pop, and awards will be provided. For more
information, contact Ken Jacks (kjacks@clarkston.com, 798-3159).

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game maintains a list of youths who have passed their hunter
education requirements but for one reason or another are in need of a hunting mentor. If you
are interested in helping a youngster get started in hunting, please contact the Department at 799-
5010. Like Bill Jordan always says, "Next time you head to the field, take a child hunting or
fishing so they too can enjoy the outdoors."

Anyone interested in helping out the club by maintaining the accounting books, please contact
either Ken Jacks (kjacks@clarkston.com, 798-3159), or Marc Gomez (746-0209).

Annual elections for Board of Directors and Officers of the club are coming up. Nominations
for the Board of Directors will begin at the November general membership meeting. We must
have a quorum of at least 15 voting members to conduct nominations.
There are three
Director's positions expiring at the end of 2003. Final nominations and election of Directors will
be at the December membership meeting on December 3. Immediately following election of
Directors will be nominations for Officers. Offices of President, Vice President, and Second
Vice President are open to Directors who have served on the Board the previous year. Election
of Officers will follow nomination of Officers at the December meeting.

The November membership meeting will be held Wednesday, November 5, at the Helm
restaurant. Allan Jones of ATK will speak on metallic cartridge reloading fundamentals
beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m., so plan on arriving a few minutes early so we can get started on
time. Guy Neill of ATK will follow through with additional reloading information presented at
the December meeting, also at the Helm restaurant, on December 3.

If you are still receiving this letter via US mail, but would like to receive it via e-mail, please
send your name and e-mail address to dts@clarkston.com; this could save the club considerable
costs in copying and postage.
