January 2004 Newsletter
Happy New Year everyone! I hope the New Year finds you all in good health and
good spirits. The club is starting the year in good shape, with a (small) net
profit in 2003, and no debts going into 2004 (the land and all range
improvements are paid off at this point in time).
There will be a youth shoot held at the range on Saturday, January 31.
For more information, contact Marc Gomez (746-0209).
Anyone who would like to help the club support the shooting sports among our
community’s youth are encouraged to donate .22LR rifles to the club for
use by youth at the range. Preferred configuration is bolt action (either single
shot or repeater) with open sights. If interested, contact Marc Gomez
(746-0209).
CMP shoots are scheduled for the year on three Sundays this coming spring:
February 29, April 25, and June 27. For more information, contact Ken Jacks (kjacks@clarkston.com,
798-3159).
The January membership meeting will be held Wednesday, January 7,
beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Helm restaurant. Sparky Sparkman will be talking
about his double rifle.
If you are still receiving this letter via US mail, but would like to receive it
via e-mail, please send your name and e-mail address to
dts@clarkston.com; this could save the club considerable costs in copying
and postage.
