February 2004 Newsletter
Boy, I hope we’re done with snow around here now. Things were a little nasty
in the valley for a while after the New Year. But February means spring can’t be
too far off!
There will be a youth shoot held at the range on Saturday, January 31.
For more information, contact Marc Gomez (746-0209).
The Range Officer service plaque on the wall at the range has been
updated with R.O. service for 2003. Please take a moment to thank the R.O.’s for
their service when you see them at the range; without volunteer R.O.’s the range
couldn’t stay open.
The Friends of NRA has approved the club’s grant application for $5,000.
Funds are to be used for the range extension, a gun safe at the range, and
firearms to be used in youth programs.
The February membership meeting will be held Wednesday, February 4,
beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Helm restaurant. Kevin Spradlin will be talking
about muzzleloader basics.
If you are still receiving this letter via US mail, but would like to receive it
via e-mail, please send your name and e-mail address to
dts@clarkston.com; this could save the club considerable costs in copying
and postage.
