October 2004 Newsletter

The range will no longer be open on Mondays after September. Thanks again to Jack Von Bargen for volunteering to open the range on Mondays in September.

The Board of Directors has decided that there is an extremely important question regarding range operation that needs to be presented to the membership for consideration. This question will be discussed and voted upon at the October general membership meeting held on October 6, 2004. The question to be addressed is:

1) Should the Lewis-Clark Wildlife Club allow a shooting organization exclusive use of the entire range, including all 24 benches, to put on a shooting event?

Should that question be approved, there would be (at least) two more questions to be decided:

2) What time limitation(s) should be placed on such an event?
and
3) What fee(s) should be associated with such an event?

The membership should also understand that any decisions resulting from the October membership meeting on these questions would also require consultation with Idaho Fish and Game for approval.

The Pheasants Forever banquet and auction will be held at the Helm on Thursday, October 7. For more information or tickets, contact Dennis Schult (758-6108, dts@clarkston.com).

Please note a change in meeting location. The general membership meeting will still be in the basement of Lewis hall, but in a different room, room B30.

The September membership meeting will be held Wednesday, October 6, beginning at 7:30 p.m., in the basement of Lewis Hall, LCSC campus.

If you are still receiving this letter via US mail, but would like to receive it via e-mail, please send your name and e-mail address to dts@clarkston.com; this could save the club considerable costs in copying and postage.
