February 2007 Newsletter
Mike Demick, Idaho Fish and Game, gave a presentation on the IF&G budget at
the January club meeting and asked that the club support efforts to increase
licensing fees to avoid a cut in services.
The club is down to 18 Range Officers from last years 31. PLEASE !
We need your help, even if it is only once a month. Any time the range vehicle
is used at least 2 Range Officers are needed (one to run the machine and one to
run the counter); one can not do both. Please contact Dean Narramore at
509-758-3279 if you can help. Thanks.
From President Rick Brigham: The Range Officers Appreciation Dinner was
held on January 20 at Tomato Brothers in Clarkston with twenty three people in
attendance. A fine time was enjoyed by all. President Brigham awarded several
Certificates of Appreciation, as follows:
Dean Narramore – for sustained service as Rang Officer
Coordinator, Range Officer, and Maintenance Crew.
Marc Gomez – for service as Club President, Treasurer, Match Director
, Range Officer, and Board Member.
Ken Jacks – for service as Bookkeeper, Match Director, and
Maintenance Crew.
Frank Perkins – for sustained service as Range Officer, Maintenance
Crew, Raffle Coordinator, and board Member.
Bob Humphery was awarded an engraved plaque for “Outstanding Achievement” in
recognition of his efforts in establishing, maintaining, and operating the
range, including his significant loan to the club when the range was being
constructed and in recognition of his seven years of facility maintenance and as
a Board Member.
Congratulation to all award recipients – you earned it and deserve it!!
The club is affiliating with the National Bench Shooters Assn. Glenn Sampson
will head up local matches, which should start in the spring.
There will be a short presentation from the owner of the Lewiston Indoor
Shooting Range at the February 7 general membership meeting. The meeting will be
held in Meriwether Lewis Hall, room B32, on the LCSC campus starting at 7:30 PM.
