Lewis Clark Wildlife Club Newsletter - May 2010YOUTH SHOOT scheduled for May 1 was cancelled. Only two kids were signed up, after a lot of advertising. The two were included in the Appleseed Shoot May 8-9. This problem is country wide-not just here. Discussion with a shooter from Hamilton Montana last Sunday (he is a bench-rest shooter) yielded the same sorry situation, from which there would seem to be no easy solution BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION is on hold, pending delivery of promised donated materials. Stay tuned. SUPERSHOOTER CARD. The $150 price tag is for paid members only, and includes husbands and wives. Contact Ken Jacks at 798-3159 if you want one. If you shoot a lot it is a good buy. DITCH ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF THE RANGE ROAD is to drain water coming off the hillside during thunderstorms-so the club won't have to pay to have the septic tank pumped out after rainwater seeping into it from the septic tank drain field fills it. This is the first of several improvements planned for the infield. LCWC SUPPORTER DONATION FORMS are now available from Tony Love at 746-2369. The new sponsor signs resulting from these forms will replace the 40 or so that hung on the walls during the first decade the range has been open. The forms are self-explanatory. Get one from Tony if you know a potential sponsor. Cost is $185 the first year; $335 for two years; $150/year thereafter. HUNTER BENCH REST MATCH RESULTS for May 16: 100 Yards: First-Sam Small, 250/18x; Second-John Hayes, 250/13x; Third-Dick Mayer, 250/13x. 200 yards: First-Jim McConnel, 248/7x; Second-Dick Mayer, 245/3x; Third-Tom Payden, 247/3x. Do you have something you want the club or Board to discuss? Please let Rick Brigham 509-751-0310 rickceil30@cableone.net know ASAP.ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE NRA? If you are, great! If not, please seriously consider joining it. While you may not agree with all that the NRA does, it does a great deal to promote the shooting sports, and Second Amendment rights. Friends of the NRA Grants have supported the LCWC range to the tune of $33,000+. JUNE 2 MEMBERSHIP MEETING WILL BE AT THE LEWISTON IDAHO FISH AND GAME DEPARTMENT OFFICE, STARTING AT 7 PM.
