Lewis Clark Wildlife Club Newsletter - January 2012WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR, AND THINK POSITIVE ABOUT GETTING DECENT SNOWPACK IN THE HIGH COUNTRY! CHANGES ARE COMING! FIRST, ALL FUTURE CLUB GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS WILL START AT 6 PM INSTEAD OF 7 PM—FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH AT LEWISTON’S MASONIC TEMPLE AT 855 MAIN STREET. SECOND, THERE WILL BE A SWAP MEET FOR ONE-HALF HOUR AFTER EACH MEETING. BRING WHAT FIREARMS AND FIREARMS RELATED GOODIES YOU WANT TO SWAP AND WE’LL SEE YOU AT THE MEETINGS! DR. DAVE HEUSINKVELD has left us for a better place. You may remember Doctor Dave and Doctor Bob (Olson) when they teamed up many times to be Range Officers in the past several years. We will miss Dr. Dave. The club has made a donation in his name to the Snake River Community Clinic. LAST CHANCE FOR RAFFLE TICKETS for the $800 worth of firearm/goodies at Black Sheep Sporting goods. Tickets are almost gone—the drawing may be held before the next meeting. Contact Gary Blackwell now at 208-793-3793 if you want any. THE BRIDGE OVER THE CREEK BEHIND THE 100 YARD BERM IS DONE, thanks to Tony Love, Robert Coons, and Mike Lorenz. Good job, guys! AND THE OEHLER CHRONOGRAPH has arrived, and will be installed soon, and available for all shooters to test loads and hand loads. PLEASE PAY YOUR 2012 DUES if you have not done so—it helps keep the club running and the range open, and your support is very much appreciated. Thanks! AGENDA ITEMS. If you have something you want the club to address, please contact Rick Brigham at 509-751-0310 H/ 509-769-7350 C/ rickceil30@cableone.net and you will be put on the agenda. ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE NRA? If not, why not? You may not always agree with all that the NRA does, but it is still the best protector and advocate of Second Amendment rights, and Friends of the NRA have donated at least $33,000 for improvements at this club’s range. FEBRUARY EVENTS include Appleseed Training on Feb 11-12; CMP-A (Garand) match on Feb. 18, and NRA Silhouette Match on Feb 25.
