NBRSA:

NATIONAL BENCH REST SHOOTERS ASSOCIATION (NRA Sanctioned)


RIFLE RULES:
Bore - diameter of 6mm (.236") or more.
Case - capacity no less than that of a .30-30 Winchester.
Barrel - length no less than 18 inches long, no greater than 1.25" diameter.
Action type - bolt/falling block/rolling block only. Bolt type rifle receivers must be no greater than 10.25" long or 1.4" wide.
Magazines - not required, but bolt gun actions must be cut to accommodate a magazine, and the opening must be large enough to accommodate a fully loaded cartridge for that rifle.
Sights - any. Scopes must be 6x or less. Variable scopes must be taped at 6x or less.
Stocks - must not be over 2-1/4" wide and be convex on all bottom surfaces
Total weight of rifle and sight must not exceed 10lbs.
Muzzle brakes are NOT allowed


COURSE OF FIRE:
Targets at 100 and 200 yards.
One shot at a sighter bull then one shot for score at each of five targets.
Seven (7) minutes allowed for the five shots with 30 minutes between relays.
Scoring will be done using an NBRSA official Hunter Class scoring device.
Shooting is done from benches and non-conforming portable sandbags may be used front and rear.
Fore-end sandbags may be supported by pedestals, or blocks/boxes may be used with sandbags to get rifles to the shooter's stance.


AWARDS:
Prizes will be awarded for the first several places at each distance, plus a grand aggregate winner for both.


TIME:
The range will be open at 7:00am for Hunter Rifle competitors only. For all others, opening time is 9:00am.
During the match, the 18-bench side of the range is for exclusive use of the Hunter Rifle participants. All others will be allowed to shoot from the 6-bench side at distances no longer than 100 yards.

SILHOUETTE:

METALLIC SILHOUETTE SHOOTING (NRA Sanctioned)


COURSE OF FIRE:
Each participant must shoot at small steel knock-down silhouette targets of:
      10 - chickens at 40 meters
      10 - pigs at 50 meters
      10 - turkeys at 75 meters
      10 - rams at 100 meters
One shot per target, the total match requires 40 rounds during standing, offhand shooting.
All timed fire allowing five shots in two (2) minutes.
No slings or rests permitted.


FIREARM CATAGORIES:
Smallbore Cowboy Rifle (.22 Long Rifle cartridge only, and rifle must have a tubular magazine)
Pistol Cartridge Cowboy Rifle (sample cartridges include .22 Magnum, .38/.357, .45 Colt, .44 Magnum)
Hunter’s Pistol - open sights (sample cartridges include .22 Hornet, .25-20, .38/.357, .32-30, .44)
Hunter’s Pistol - scoped (same cartridges as Hunter’s Pistol scoped)
Smallbore Hunter’s Pistol - open sights (.22 Long Rifle only)
Smallbore Hunter’s Pistol - scoped (.22 Long Rifle only)

To prevent target damage, bullet velocities for centerfire arms should not exceed 1,000fps muzzle velocity.
Practice targets are available for checking loads.


COST:
      1st Match - $8.00
      2nd Match - $4.00


TIME:
Open sign-up and practice at 9:00am. Competition begins immediately after all shooters are signed in.
